Will preponing annual Flu shot help protect my child against COVID disease?

With different types of infections and fevers around, concerned parents might want to hasten the annual flu vaccine and have it before the schedule. They may feel that this might give some extra cover. This is not true. Giving the flu vaccine ahead of due date is actually redundant as the vaccine cannot cover or cross protect for COVID. Remember, COVID 19 vaccine is different and flu vaccine cannot cover this. COVID 19 vaccines are yet to be cleared by Indian health authorities to be given to those under 18 year of age.!
